Designed with a single red crescent panel to represent the shape of a sickle cell, The Sickle Cell Ball aims to raise awareness about a disease impacting over 100,000 individuals in the US, particularly Black and/or Hispanic-Americans. The Sickle Cell Ball launched for Sickle Cell Awareness Month, across social media, and made its way to patients, community events, media, influencers, athletes, celebrities andeven landed as a downloadable feature in the world’s most popular basketball video game — NBA 2K25.
